Cando nos dividimos perdemos capacidade de reacci\u00f3n e ced\u00e9moslle espazo ao discurso de odio como unha forma de facer pol\u00edtica que chega a toda a sociedade. O odio disfrazado de ideas simples \u2014polo xeral falsas e f\u00e1ciles de entender\u2014 cala axi\u00f1a nesa parte da opini\u00f3n p\u00fablica que non est\u00e1 alerta ou que ten unha capacidade cr\u00edtica limitada.<\/p>\n

Acampa pola Paz e o Dereito a Refuxio<\/strong><\/span> naceu en 2016 cunha idea central: a unidade de acci\u00f3n de organizaci\u00f3ns e persoas que observamos con tristeza, pero sen resignaci\u00f3n, o retroceso dos Dereitos Humanos e o avance dunha intolerancia totalitarista que, con pr\u00e9sa e sen pausa, vaise apoderando dos espazos de democracia, dos dereitos e das conquistas sociais e pol\u00edticas.<\/p>\n

O odio \u00e9 poli\u00e9drico. Pode derivar de crenzas, prexu\u00edzos e violencias que sufrimos; de conflitos entre grupos, de problemas econ\u00f3micos; poden desatalo as desigualdades, a frustraci\u00f3n por promesas pol\u00edticas incumpridas. As raz\u00f3ns m\u00e1is com\u00fans do odio \u00e1 v\u00edtima son a s\u00faa orixe, raza ou etnia; a s\u00faa relixi\u00f3n, idioma, postura pol\u00edtica, orientaci\u00f3n sexual; as s\u00faas discapacidades (f\u00edsicas, mentais ou sensoriais)\u2026 O odio ten mil e unha facianas.<\/p>\n

Mais \u00e9 importante saber que ningu\u00e9n nace odiando a ningu\u00e9n pola cor da s\u00faa pel, pola s\u00faa orixe ou relixi\u00f3n, pola s\u00faa condici\u00f3n educativa, social, pol\u00edtica ou econ\u00f3mica. O odio \u00e9 unha elaboraci\u00f3n, unha resposta aprendida. Polo tanto, tam\u00e9n podemos aprender a respectar, a amar, a vivir en harmon\u00eda co diferente. O respecto, a empat\u00eda, a solidariedade son valores imprescindibles que frean a aparici\u00f3n e proliferaci\u00f3n de prexu\u00edzos como os que sustentan o fascismo ou distintas formas de violencia.<\/p>\n

Os discursos de odio inf\u00edltranse no tecido social como r\u00e9moras da desconformidade ou da frustraci\u00f3n social, a cabalo das fake news, das idolatr\u00edas ou das pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas que segregan a parte da cidadan\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Vivimos unha crise de m\u00faltiples identidades agravada por unha globalizaci\u00f3n falaz que rompeu vellas estruturas sen artellar contrapartidas para os seus damnificados e que beneficia un grupo moi reducido en detrimento de poboaci\u00f3ns que viven na miseria por mor dun capitalismo global sen escr\u00fapulos.<\/p>\n

O odio hai que combatelo desde as bases. A escola debe ser o primeiro espazo de prevenci\u00f3n porque desempe\u00f1a un papel fundamental na comprensi\u00f3n e o respecto das diferenzas; \u00e9 onde se aprende a detectar o efecto nocivo do odio e a violencia na forma de pensar e actuar; \u00e9 onde se ensina que o odio mutila os Dereitos Humanos e a convivencia, cun efecto catastr\u00f3fico para toda a sociedade.<\/p>\n

Combater eficazmente o discurso do odio esixe que o poder p\u00fablico o atalle cunha lexislaci\u00f3n severa, restrinxindo as\u00ed o seu impacto persuasivo.<\/p>\n

A paz \u00e9 m\u00e1is que a ausencia de guerra: \u00e9 convivir coas nosas diferenzas \u2014de sexo, raza, etnia, idioma, relixi\u00f3n, cultura\u2026\u2014 promovendo o respecto \u00e1 igualdade entre os seres humanos, a xustiza universal e a defensa activa e resiliente dos Dereitos Humanos dos que, en definitiva, depende esa convivencia.<\/p>\n

O panorama mundial non \u00e9 esperanzador. O discurso de odio salpica a realidade. Mill\u00f3ns de persoas migrantes deixan de ser vistas como seres humanos e transm\u00fatanse en \u201cameazas\u201d; a extrema dereita berra, cada vez m\u00e1is forte e m\u00e1is libre, nas r\u00faas de calquera pa\u00eds de Europa. As minor\u00edas, os diferentes, son cada vez m\u00e1is perseguidos, m\u00e1is discriminados. Os dereitos que tanto custou consolidar desaparecen. A mesma cidadan\u00eda, adormentada e temerosa, cede e renuncia a eles. A vulnerabilidade medra e, por se fose pouco, a intelixencia artificial chega para demostrar que o ser humano e os seus valores son realidades totalmente prescindibles. Fronte a todo isto, o \u00fanico que non debe facer a cidadan\u00eda \u00e9 calar. C\u00f3mpre lembrarmos sempre que a nosa forza m\u00e1is poderosa \u00e9 a unidade.<\/p>\n
