Xurxo Souto<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Xurxo<\/p>\n

Musician and writer. Graduated in Classical Philology from the University of Santiago.<\/p>\n

He achieved fame as the vocalist of the rock band Los diplom\u00e1ticos de Monte Alto.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 1986 he has worked in radio programs in Galician. Between 2005 and 2009 he was deputy director of programs at Radio Gallega and directed the program Aberto para reformas, dedicated to music in Galician.<\/p>\n

As a writer, he published the books of short stories A tralla e a arroutada (1995), Fumareu (1997) and Tres treb\u00f3ns (2005), the novel O retorno dos homes mari\u00f1os (1999) and the collection of articles Contos da Coru\u00f1a (2001) and Contos da Mar de Irlanda.<\/p>\n

He is the voice and accordionist of the band Os Tres Trebons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He worked as an actor in the Galician series Mareas Vivas and in the feature film Entre Bateas.<\/p>\n

On the V Televisi\u00f3n channel, he was director and presenter of M\u00fasica Ambiente, which showed emerging Galician music.<\/p>\n

He currently teaches Latin at Sarria High School.<\/p>\n
